Velocity Rooms are the standardized technology solutions that are the foundation to the Velocity Ecosystem. They were built with a primary objective: The ability to deliver 1000 rooms in 90 days? The resulting solutions each incorporate all the necessary components to enable a range of presentation, conferencing, or collaboration applications in support of one or more of the four leading unified communication and collaboration (UC&C) workflow platforms – Microsoft Skype/Teams, Cisco Webex Teams, Google G Suite, and Zoom Conferencing, as well as a selection of universal room designs that support any BYOD USB device based conferencing solution. When integrated into the related Velocity Strategy, Support, and Dashboard offerings however, they become a ready made and rapidly deployable global enterprise collaboration technology planning, deployment, and lifecycle management strategy.

The following partners are the cornerstones to our Velocity Rooms designs. In part because of their market leading hardware and software tools, but equally because of the collaborative investments they have made in partnership with us to innovate, to align and optimise their solutions to our broader velocity goals and objectives, and to their shared goal to deliver “better” tomorrow than we did today.

The development of the display mount and equipment storage solution that is a cornerstone of our Velocity rooms designs is an example of the depth of relationship and collaborative design alignment we maintain with our many of our partners. We recognised at the outset that the physical room itself was our biggest risk to scope, schedule, and budget in deployment. As such we set a goal to avoid the need for as much room infrastructure and thereby room remediation as possible. Unable to find existing solutions to meet this goal, we approached our partner Legrand AV with a concept. After 9 months of effort, we are excited to see them launch their Room Infrastructure Mounting solution as a direct result of this collaborative design engagement. The resulting solution removes the need for an equipment rack, for wall reinforcement or conduit pathways, and even allows for a simplified and cost effective mechanism to match room and furniture finish. In conjunction with intelligent technology design, we feel strongly that 98% of our Velocity rooms will be able to be installed sight unseen without the need for any change management process or return technician trips. Our global perspective and practical experience has influenced every aspect of the solution design, from aesthetic design and shape, to packaging, to target pricing. The resulting solution has exceeded our expectations in addressing our Velocity priorities, and we feel will have a direct impact on maturing not only our own approach to enterprise collaboration deployment strategy, but that of the entire industry.
